Poland in Kuwait

The consultations at the Deputy Minister level were are an opportunity to thoroughly review the political relations between Poland and Kuwait. The Deputies discussed issues from the fields of economic, military, and consular cooperation. The talks also covered the possibilities of advancing the actions in the domains of tourism and education. In the second part of the meeting, which was devoted to international issues, the Deputy Ministers exchanged views on the complex situation in the Middle East and the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

During his three-day visit, Secretary of State Andrzej Szejna also held a meeting with the Undersecretary at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Meshal Mubarak Al Sabah. Moreover, the Deputy Minister opened the workshop titled ‘Poland Roadshow’ that was organized by the Polish Embassy in Kuwait and the Polish Tourism Organization. The goal of the event was to showcase Poland as a tourist destination for Kuwaitis. Secretary Szejna concluded the visit by participating in a New Year’s concert by Polish musicians which took place at the Embassy, and was attended by the members of the Polish community in Kuwait.

The talks of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Poland and Kuwait constituted the 4^th round of consultations. The 1^st round took place in Warsaw on November 8, 2016, the 2^nd round was organized a year later in Kuwait, on October 25, 2017. The 3^rd round of consultations was hosted again by Poland but given the pandemic restrictions it took place only on June 21, 2022.
