Head of Mission presented priorities of Polish EU Council presidency to Ambassadors of EU member states

Chargé d’affaires Michał Cholewa presented the priorities of the Polish presidency in the EU Council in the first 2025 meeting of the heads of the diplomatic missions of the EU member states in Kuwait. The meeting was attended by the Ambassadors of Estonia, Latvia and Sweden who reside in the other capitals of the Gulf.
The head of the Polish mission stated that the horizontal priority of Poland is to strengthen the security of the European Union which is reflected in the presidency’s motto: ‘Security, Europe!’. Poland perceives the security in a multi-faceted way. Warsaw will work to ensure the EU’s security not only on the military level, but also in the domains of economy, energy, food, and health.
Poland’s chargé d’affaires pointed to the key lines of action of the presidency in relation to the Middle East, such as supporting the intensification of the EU-GCC dialogue, advancing the safety of navigation, and promoting a lasting peace in the region.
The meetings of the heads of the missions of the EU member states in Kuwait take place once a month. They are hosted and coordinated by the EU Delegation.
