30.08.2021
A special digital platform PendereckisGarden.pl, created by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, allows people around the world to learn not only about the master's compositional legacy and his strong influence on other artists, but also to get to know Krzysztof Penderecki as a man full of passion.
To music lovers, but also to those who know Krzysztof Penderecki's music only from David Lynch's or Stanley Kubrick's films or not at all.
"Penderecki's Garden" provides a comprehensive overview of the composer's legacy, presenting the scale and significance of the cultural phenomenon of Penderecki's music, which crosses many genres, including film music, rock, jazz, classical and electronic music. Testimony to the phenomenon of Penderecki's music was given by the artists themselves: Hania Rani, Max Richter, Robert Piotrowicz, Skalpel, Paweł Romańczuk, Jeajoon Ryu and Piotr Orzechowski, creating works dedicated to the composer's memory on commission from the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. The new short works - audio, visual and audiovisual - make up a landscape of a digital garden in which Penderecki is remembered by, among others: Anne-Sophie Mutter, Arto Noras, Jeajoon Ryu, Katarzyna Budnik-Gałązka, Szymon Nehring, Janusz Wawrowski and Marcin Zdunik.
