Theory of Protection - solidarity action with Ukraine

As the first month of the war in Ukraine expires on 24.03.2022, we encourage you to participate in the project of Ukrainian artist Darya Koltsova.
Darya Koltsova (Дар'я Кольцова) is a graduate of the Kharkiv Academy of Arts. In an unusual way, she wants to remind the world that 24 March 2022 will be one month since the beginning of the devastating Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Born in Kharkiv, which was tragically destroyed by the Russians, the author of the installation "Protective Theories", who temporarily took refuge in Romania before the war, encourages various people and institutions to cover their windows on that day in geometric patterns, but not random ones. This is how the inhabitants of Ukraine, from Lviv to Lugansk, protect their windows from cracking during bombing and glass spilling out uncontrollably. The tape on their windows, protecting them from the shock wave, has become an eloquent symbol of war.
The project, which has been exhibited in two galleries in Poland, now aims to reach the widest possible audience through social media. Anyone can tape their window (of their institution) and post a photo on social media.
