Polish Aid Small Grants - Call for Proposals 2026

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Lebanon invites all interested Lebanese organizations and institutions to apply for project funding under the Polish Aid Small Grants Programme 2026.

The programme is implemented within the framework of the priorities of Poland’s development cooperation with Lebanon, which focuses on:

  • development of the education system and equal access to education, in particular for women and girls;
  • strengthening the capacity of local administration in disaster response and crisis management;
  • improving the quality of healthcare services and medical infrastructure;
  • increasing access to renewable energy sources;
  • supporting sustainable management of natural resources and waste.

 

Who can apply?

Eligible applicants include:

  • local non-governmental organizations, associations and foundations;
  • public  utility  institutions;
  • public administration bodies at the central and local levels.

Applicants must be officially registered in the Republic of Lebanon.

 

Project thematic areas

Project proposals submitted to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut must address at least one of the following priority areas:

1. Equal opportunities – Education

a) ensuring high-quality education at all levels, aligned with contemporary challenges and standards, including through the development of vocational and technical education;
b) removing barriers to access to education, including equalizing educational opportunities for girls and women, persons with disabilities, and groups at risk of social exclusion;
c) improving the quality and infrastructure of educational facilities, with particular attention to safety, hygiene, access to water and electricity, especially through the use of renewable energy sources.

2. Peace, justice and strong institutions

Strengthening the capacity of public administration and increasing operational capabilities in:

  • responding to natural disasters and emergencies;
  • preventing risks resulting from human activity;
  • developing local and regional crisis management systems.

3. Equal opportunities – Sustainable cities

Improving the quality of life of residents through:

  • revitalization of urban spaces;
  • modernization of public utility buildings (in particular with regard to fire safety);
  • improved access to municipal services;
  • increased citizen participation in urban governance.

4. Health

Improving the quality of and access to healthcare and rehabilitation services through:

  • modernization of medical, sanitary and administrative infrastructure;
  • development of medical staff competencies, including in the operation of specialized equipment.

5. Climate and natural resources

a) strengthening resilience to climate change and natural disasters, as well as raising environmental awareness;
b) increasing energy efficiency and access to energy from renewable sources;
c) supporting sustainable management of water resources and waste, including waste reduction.

Financial conditions

  • Maximum grant amount: USD 25,000
  • Project duration: until December 2026
  • Results of the call are usually published in May/June 2026; therefore, the project implementation period may not extend beyond December 2026.

Applicants may, but are not required to, provide a co-financing contribution (financial, in-kind or organizational). However, indicating own contribution is encouraged.

 

Important financial information

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut does not provide pre-financing.
Funds are reimbursed after the completion of project activities, based on submitted invoices.

This means that:

  • the applying institution must initially finance the project activities from its own resources;
  • costs are reimbursed after completion of contractual tasks;
  • it is possible to divide the project into stages and settle costs in stages.

 

Selection results

Due to the large number of applications received, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut reserves the right to respond only to the selected applicants.
The results of the call will be available around May/June 2026.
