“We have talked today about security, which is obviously the biggest challenge we face in the context of what is happening in Belarus. In the situation of hybrid attacks against Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. Also in the context of the ongoing ZAPAD-21 exercises. We talked about how our soldiers can train together, how together we can ensure the security of our countries, ”said Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defence during the meeting of the defence and foreign ministers of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

- We observed the exercises of the Polish Army soldiers who were transferred from the north-western part of our country to south-eastern Poland, here to the training ground in Nowa Dęba, so that they could train in this part of Poland. It was not an easy task, but it was performed at the highest level. Thanks to such exercises, which involve the relocation of soldiers and equipment, we know that Poland is safe - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense during a meeting with soldiers participating in the Ryś-21 exercise.

- The security of the Republic of Poland is an indispensable condition for the development of our country, our Homeland. We equip the Polish Army with modern equipment and make a technological breakthrough. We do all this so that our Homeland is safe - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence after signing contracts for the purchase of equipment for the Polish Army.

"We are in a holy place, in a place sanctified by the blood of the soldiers of the Polish Army who defended Westerplatte against the German invasion. We honor them, we praise them, because they were faithful to their oath to the end. Because they bravely stood up for our homeland. Because they are an example for today's soldiers of the Polish Army. Hence, the organizer of the ceremony is the Polish Army, "said Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defense during the 82nd anniversary of the outbreak of World War II on Westerplatte.

"The situation on the Polish-Belarusian border is tense. It is related to a hybrid attack on our country and the European Union. But appropriate actions have been taken by the Polish Border Guard and the Polish Army. The fence is being built. (…)Our goal is to ensure that what is the target of the hybrid attack: breaking the Polish border, leading to a migration crisis - does not happen. Thanks to the service of the Border Guard, thanks to the service of the soldiers of the Polish Army, Poland is safe, "said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense after the briefing in Warsaw.

- The situation in Afghanistan is extremely complicated. For my part, as the Minister of National Defense, I would like to thank you for the nearly 20 years of cooperation between the Polish Army and the Afghans who were interpreters who cooperated with the Polish military contingent. Thanks to this, the Polish contingent was able to complete tasks properly. When there was such a need, Poland organized a contingent, we sent soldiers and planes to evacuate all those who felt threatened. We also helped in the evacuation of our NATO allies' co-workers - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defense during a meeting with Rahima Jami, Afghan MP in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.

“Thank you for your professionalism - we can say that it is professionalism of the highest level. You have undertaken a challenging mission, but you have already been on more than one such difficult mission. (...) I would like to thank the soldiers of the Special Forces, soldiers of the special forces unit “Grom”, who took care of the safety of the entire evacuation mission. I would like to thank the pilots who made the mission a success. The airlift was created. As a result, people who were then transported to our country using civilian aircrafts from LOT(Polish Airlines) planes were evacuated. This is a challenging project. It was demanding professionalism, requiring commitment on the part of Polish soldiers, and so it was. I would also like to thank the aviation technicians who made sure that the entire mission was successful "- with these words Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense, thanked the Polish soldiers who took part in the mission in Afghanistan.

“We have gathered to pay tribute to the soldiers of the Polish Army, who in 1920 repelled the invasion of Bolshevik Russia, who saved the independence of the Republic of Poland, and who also saved the freedom of Europe. But we are gathering on the Polish Army Day also to thank today's soldiers for their daily service, ”said Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defense during the central celebration of the Polish Army Day in Warsaw.

“Today I have had the honor to recognize soldiers who had showed courage and bravery in saving the lives of others. I do highly appreciate your efforts. Thank you for your comittment. For not passing by when you see someone needing help. This is the essence of military service. Military service is not a job, it is a life attitude, it will guard the security of our homeland, but also help to all those who need such help. Congratulations to all the honored, and thank you all soldiers of the Polish Army for their daily service, ”said Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defense during a meeting with soldiers in Warsaw.
