Anna Streżyńska

A lawyer by profession, she worked at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection from 1995 to 1997. Between 1998 and 2000, she served as an advisor to three consecutive Ministers of Communications. From 2001 to 2005, she ran her own consultancy business, and from November 2005 to May 2006, she held the position of Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Transport and Construction, responsible for communications. From 2015 to 2018, she headed the Ministry of Digital Affairs.

From January to May 2006, she acted as the President of the Office of Electronic Communications, and in May 2006 she was officially appointed to the position, which she held until February 2012.

Between 2012 and 2015, she continued her consultancy work. Simultaneously, she served as President of the Management Board of the Wielkopolska Sieć Szerokopasmowa SA from 2014 to 2015, and in 2015 as CEO of the “Internet for Mazovia” project. From 2018 to 2025, she led her own company in the IT sector.

In 2014–2015, she was a member of the Council for Digitization under the Minister of Administration and Digitization. Most recently, she served as the chief strategic advisor to the National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications.

In 2008, she was awarded the Andrzej Bączkowski Prize for her efforts in combating the monopoly of Telekomunikacja Polska. Two years later, she received the “Bene Merito” honorary badge from the President of the Republic of Poland.

On March 17, 2025, she was appointed Director of the National Institute of Telecommunications – Research Institute by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Gawkowski.
