Poland in NATO

On 24-25 April 2024 a group of Polish journalists and representatives of the European Commission met with the Polish Permanent Representative to NATO, Ambassador Tomasz Szatkowski and the Polish Representative to NATO and EU Military Committees, Lieutenant General Sławomir Wojciechowski. The meetings focused on main processes in NATO, Polish security policy priorities, tackling disinformation and role of media in responsible shaping of public opinion.

On 23 April 2024 the Polish Delegation to NATO hosted a group of experts on strategic communication from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Institute of International Affairs, the University of Warsaw and the Polish Academy of Sciences.

It is with deep sadness that we inform about the passing of Ambassador Adam Kobieracki, former NATO Assistant Secretary General for Operations.

The ministers took part in three sessions: among Allies, NATO-Ukraine Council and the meeting with Indo-Pacific Partners and representative of the European Union. This was the first Ministerial Meeting when Sweden sat at the table as a 32nd Ally.

On the 14th March 2024 President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda paid a visit to the NATO HQ. President held talks with the Secretary General, followed by the media statements.

On the occasion of 25th anniversary of Polish accession to NATO, Polish Delegation organized in NATO HQ a seminar: Poland, 25 years in the Alliance. The event started with the screening of a film "NATO. Article 5" produced by TVN, featuring high-ranking officials responsible for our accession process.

Polish and Lithuanian Presidents, Andrzej Duda and Gitanas Nausėda, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Polish and NATO Commanders and Permanent Representatives to NATO participated in Distinguished Visitors Day of Exercise Dragon 24, a Polish-led operational and tactical level multinational exercise and a key element of Steadfast Defender 24.

Deputy Prime Minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz attended the meeting of NATO Defence Ministers which took place on 15 February 2024 in NATO HQ.

Deputy Minister of Defence, Paweł Zalewski participated in 19th U.S.-led Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting which took place in NATO HQ on 14 February 2024.

A meeting of the North Atlantic Council in National Security Advisers format took place on 7th February in Brussels. Poland was represented by the Chief of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera.
