Polen i Norge

Polsk-norske konsultasjoner mellom ministrene Radosław Sikorski og Espen Barth Eide fant sted 23. Spørsmål knyttet til bilateralt samarbeid og spørsmål innen øst- og sikkerhetspolitikk, transatlantiske relasjoner og situasjonen i Midtøsten ble diskutert.

16-20.10 ble den årlige festivalen for polsk samtidskultur i Do/http://www.wedo.no/ arrangert i Oslo for sjette gang. Programmet inkluderer deltakende workshops, forestillinger, konserter og dokumentarfilmvisninger. Arrangørene plasserte enkeltarrangementer på kjente og gjenkjennelige steder i byen (kino/filmkultursenter Cinemateket, Hos Arne kunst- og kultursenter, Høymagasinet i Akershus festning i Oslo sentrum).

På årsdagen av utbruddet, 1. september 2024, har representanter for Republikken Polens Ambassade: chargé d’affaires Tomasz Orłowski, attaché oberst Waldemar Torbicki og konsul Marcin Spyrka lagt ned kransen på polske flygerne- og Cichociemnis grav for å markere polske soldater som mistet livet under 2. verdenskrigen.

Poland’s Honorary Consulate in Rjukan was officially opened on 21 August 2024. The office is headed by Honorary Consul Per Lykke. The consulate was opened by Chargé d’affaires a.i. Tomasz Orłowski, governor of Vestfold and Telemark Fred-Ivar Syrstad, mayor of Tinn Kathrine Haatvedt, and deputy governor of Telemark Terje Riis-Johansen.

On August 12-13 representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Oslo (Minister-Counsellor Grzegorz Szopiński and Head of Consular Section Agnieszka Kucińska-Spyrka) took part in the 13th edition of the political week in Arendal - Arendalsuka.

August 15, on the occasion of the Polish Armed Forces Day, a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Oslo, consisting of the military attache of the Republic of Poland, W. Torbicki, Counselor-Minister G. Szopiński, and Consul A. Jach, and the Director of the Polish School affiliated by the Embassy I. Prokop laid flowers at the monument to the Polish Pilots and the Silent Unseen at the Vestre Gravlund Cemetery in Oslo.

Vi minner på at Republikken Polens Ambassade holder stengt 15. august (grunnet: Jomfru Marias oppdaget i himmelen).

On July 24-August 1. another edition of the Music and Art Festival (K&M Fest) took place in Stavanger. Poland was represented at the Festival by opera singer Kornelia Szczypka and violinist Adam Suska. The festival was supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Oslo.
