Remembering Together: Joint Polish-Israeli commemoration of the 82nd Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
18.04.2025
In a symbolic gesture commemorating the heroes and heroines of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, Gideon Sa’ar, together with 87 ambassadors and representatives of Polish and Israeli diplomatic missions in 50 countries worldwide, joined this year's Daffodils Campaign.
For the third time, at the invitation of ELNET (European Leadership Network), the Foreign Ministers of both countries and their ambassadors joined the educational campaign organized by the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, marking the 82nd anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
This year’s edition of the Daffodils Campaign takes on a special diplomatic significance. The joint participation of the Foreign Ministers of Poland and Israel is not only a gesture of remembrance but also a signal of rebuilding trust. Recently, the dialogue between the two countries has gained new momentum – it has become more open, based on mutual respect, and shows a renewed readiness for cooperation. It is also a strong and symbolic expression of shared responsibility for preserving the memory of the Holocaust victims and the heroes who fought for dignity, freedom, and humanity.
