Katarzyna Wilkowiecka - Chargée d'affaires ad interim of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of the Philippines.
Ms. Katarzyna Wilkowiecka is a graduate of the Kraków University of Economics (now the University of Economics), she has been professionally associated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Service since 1998. She has also been a civil servant since 2001.
On January 2026, she commenced her duties as the Head of Mission, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Manila.
Since joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, her career has taken her from Poland (Warsaw) through Europe to Asia. In 1999-2000, she worked as a trainee at the Polish Embassy in Vienna, and her first full-time foreign posting was to Germany (2001-2005), where, at the Polish Embassy in Berlin, she was responsible for diplomatic protocol and Germany's relations with non-European countries, among other areas.
After returning from Berlin in July 2005, she began working in the Asia-Pacific Department, where she remains professionally associated to this day. At DAP, she served as head of units and sections (including the China and Mongolia Section) and as Deputy Director of the Department (2013-2015).
From 2007 to 2012, she worked at the Polish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur as Deputy Head of Mission, Head of the Political and Economic Section, and for a year as Chargé d'Affaires a.i.
From 2015 to 2019, she served as the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Chengdu, China, and then from 2021 to 2025, she served as Head of the Economic Section at the Polish Embassy in Beijing.
She speaks English, German, Mandarin, and Spanish.
