Poland in Qatar

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the State of Qatar proudly co-organized the 8th Independence Run, held in cooperation with the Polish School named after Witold Pilecki in Qatar.

Organized annually since 2018, the event aims to celebrate Poland’s National Independence Day through physical activity and community spirit, promoting unity and patriotism among participants. Each year, the run attracts strong interest from the Polish community and friends of Poland residing in Qatar and across the region.

This year’s edition took place on 8 November at Lusail Multipurpose Hall. Participants of all ages – children, youth, and adults – completed a symbolic one-kilometer route. The Embassy was represented by Ambassador Tomasz Sadziński and Consul Aleksander Parzych, who presented commemorative medals and certificates to the runners. The event concluded with the joint singing of Mazurek Dąbrowskiego – Poland’s national anthem – creating a moving and uplifting atmosphere of national unity.

The Embassy of Poland in Qatar extends heartfelt thanks to the entire community surrounding the Polish School in Qatar and to all Poles living in Doha for their enthusiasm, energy, and active participation. Special appreciation is also extended to the Qatar Sports For All Federation for its organizational support and cooperation in hosting the event at Lusail Multipurpose Hall.​
