Poland in Qatar

On 20–21 December 2025, the Special Envoy of the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs for Afghanistan, Ambassador Witold Sobków, paid a visit to Doha.

As part of the programme, he held meetings with Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab, Special Envoy of the Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs for Afghanistan; Firas Adel Budeirim, Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Office in Doha; Rolf Reinhard, Head of the German Liaison Office for Afghanistan in Doha; as well as Suhail Shaheen, Head of the Afghan Mission in Qatar.

The discussions focused on the current security and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, opportunities for engaging Polish partners in international and regional initiatives, as well as the scope and scale of contacts maintained by Qatari and international institutions with the current authorities in Kabul.
