Further to the previous announcements, the Consular Section kindly informs that effective 24 April 2026, a new IT tool will be implemented to facilitate the appointment registration process for persons submitting an application for a Polish national visa through the online appointment registration system e-Konsulat.

The new tool includes online visual verification of the applicant’s identity and identity document (video verification).

This solution is being introduced in order to enhance security and improve the standard of services provided by the Consular Section, while also helping to streamline the allocation of appointment slots in view of the continued demand for visa appointments.

The video verification service is provided by an external service provider for a fee of EUR 7 plus VAT. The provider offers 24/7 technical support (helpdesk) and ensures a high level of security for all processed data.

Applications submitted through the new tool are directed to the pool of pending applications, in accordance with current practice. At the stage of automatic appointment allocation, priority is given to applicants who have completed the video verification process. Other applicants may be scheduled for an appointment at a later stage, after the pool of applications submitted through video verification has been exhausted.

At the same time, slots for national work visa appointments indicating the dates on which you must report to the consular office with visa form completed in the e-konsulat system and printed out (along with documents justifying the purpose and conditions of your stay in Poland) are still assigned via an electronic draw.

Slots for national study and other purpose visa appointments indicating the dates of visits are assigned as per the order of registration.
