Poland in Qatar

The meeting with the Head of QFC was devoted to cooperation in organizing the 5th edition of Qatar-Poland New Tech Forum 2024 in Warsaw. QFC has been a long-term partner of the Embassy in organizing events promoting economic cooperation between Poland and State of Qatar.

General Hamad Othman N. Al-Dehaimi hosted representatives of the Embassy at the Civil Defense Headquarters. The meeting was devoted to discussing cooperation between the countries and the Qatari experience in civil protection of large-scale sporting events, as well as civil training designed to enhance crisis response.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is a non-profit charity organization supporting health care in Poland. The Grand Finale is a one-day event organized by the Great Orchestra Foundation in every Polish city, with musical bands playing for charity. During the Grand Finale volunteers collect money and in return give a heart-shaped sticker, a symbol of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The Grand Finale is also preceded by online auctions for anyone to join. The 32nd Grand Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is held under the slogan: "Post-pandemic lungs. Preparations for 5th Qatar-Poland Forum of New Technologies 2024 were discussed during the meeting between the Ambassador and Minister Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Another key topic of discussion centered around the cooperation in the field of technology and e-government.

During the meeting with Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al-Thani, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland brought up the topic of cooperation with Qatar in the fields of transport, e-commerce, fintech, and civil aviation.

Commander Rear-Admiral Professor Tomasz Szubrycht, PhD, DSc, rector of Polish Naval Academy, and lieutenant commander Łukasz Teległów participated in the officer promotion ceremony at the Police Academy in Doha. The visit was carried out within the framework of a long - term educational cooperation between the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia and the Coast Guard in Qatar. Currently, 19 Qatari cadets receive education at the Naval Academy in Gdynia.

Joint strategic projects in the area of transport were the subject of the meeting between the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland and the Qatari Minister of Transport, Jassim bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti.

The highest quality amber products were presented by several Polish companies and the International Amber Association from Gdańsk at the amber exhibition, Kahraman 2024.

The National Security Bureau delegation took part in this year’s Doha Forum. The delegation was headed by Jacek Siewiera - the head of the National Security Bureau.

The Embassy hosted the annual St. Nicholas Day meeting combined with a charity fair organized by the community of the Polish School in Qatar.
