Poland in Qatar

The Polish Embassy in Doha held a joint celebration of the 3rd May Constitution Day, the 20th anniversary of Poland's accession to the European Union, and 35th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Qatar. The Qatari side was represented by H.E. Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, Qatari Minister of Justice, and H.E. Ambassador Ibrahim Yousif Fakhroo, Director of the Department of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On the occasion of the Polish national day, the Sheraton hotel, where the celebration took place, was illuminated with the colours of the Polish flag.

A young Polish painter, Ewa Macheta, who currently works in Qatar, presented several of her works during the reception on the occasion of the Polish Constitution Day.

The topic of the talks was the largest Qatari investment in Poland - the Deepwater Container Terminal in Świnoujście.

The "Portiernia Sztuki" theatre group conducted classes for students, parents and teachers of the Polish School in Qatar.

The Polish Consul in Qatar participated in the anniversary celebration of the school community.

The meeting concerned the current situation in Ukraine, and the prospects for Polish-Ukrainian economic projects.

The film and an exhibition of war artifacts accompanied the meeting of the diplomatic corps at the Embassy of Ukraine in Doha. In Ambassador A. Kuzmenko's speech, Poland was mentioned among Ukraine's closest friends.

Representatives of Polish swimming clubs came to Qatar for the World Aquatics Masters Championships - Doha 2024.

The Embassy, in cooperation with LULU - the largest supermarket chain in the region, has launched a program of the Polish food promotion. The Ambassador, together with the management of LULU International, inaugurated the presentation of Polish food products and Polish cuisine in the LULU supermarket located on the Pearl – one of the most prestigious districts in Doha.
