Poland in Qatar

At the instigation of the EU Delegation Al Gharrafa Park in Doha hosted a group of the EU Ambassadors who jointly planted tree seedlings in the scope of “10 million trees initiative” and the World Environment Day celebrations.

The company's investment plans in Poland were the subject of a meeting with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.

During the school end ceremony for the year 2022/2023 of the Witold Pilecki Polish School in Qatar, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha was once again presented with the honourable the Friend of the School title. On behalf of the Embassy, Ambassador Janusz Janke received a commemorative diploma and handed over a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the school to the Head and founder of the institution.

The joint project of the fourth edition of the Qatar-Poland New Tech Forum was the topic of the meeting between Mr Janusz Janke, Ambassador of Poland and Mr Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida, head of the QFC. The meeting was also attended by Mr Daniel Dybała, president of the Qatar-Poland Business Council.

The three-day programme of the delegation, led by Minister Magdalena Rzeczkowska, was filled with meetings with the heads of the main financial institutions of the State of Qatar. Within the scope of the Qatar Economic Forum, the Minister of Finance, participating in the panel, promoted direct investments in our region. The minister was also received by Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and met with the Finance Minister, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari. During the meetings, also with commercial banks, the minister focused on the subject of financial cooperation.

Ms. Magdalena Rzeczkowska, Minister of Finance, met with the Polish diaspora working for Qatari enterprises, financial and investment institutions.

Celebrations of the 232nd anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of May 3. Around 150 people participated in the celebrations of the 232nd anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of May 3rd. The event was organized by the Embassy of Poland in Doha and honoured with his presence by Sheikh Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Minister of Telecommunications and Technology, accompanied by Ambassador Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhro, Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among the invited guests were members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Qatari administration, the business world, journalists and representatives of the Polish community. In his speech, the Polish ambassador emphasized the significance of the Constitution of May 3rd in the history of Poland, as well as the importance of Polish-Qatari economic relations. The envoy also expressed solidarity with the war-ridden Ukraine.

For the first time since its recent creation, the EU Delegation, together with the Member States, celebrated Europe Day in Doha.

Polish food producers together with the Qatari – Polish Business Council were present at AGRITEQ - the largest agricultural and food fair in Qatar.
