09.03.2023The President of the Republic of Poland visits DohaOn March 5-9, 2023, the second part of the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) was held in Doha, with the participation of dozens of heads of states and governments. The leaders agreed on plans to implement the Doha Action Plan, a ten-year budget for a renewed and strengthened partnership between the least-developed and the developed countries, as well as with the private sector and civil society. The Polish delegation headed by HE Mr Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, participated in the first two days of the conference. The Polish President together with the President of Slovenia, was the highest rank representatives of the EU Member States.

09.03.2023Food security and EXPO2023 discussed with Minister Abdulaziz bin Turki Al SubaieOn 5th March 2023 HE Mr Ryszard Bartosik, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development met with Dr. Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Urban Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality. The talks focused on the topic of the possibility of increasing cooperation between Poland and Qatar in the area of food security and preparing Qatar for EXPO 2023, which will take place in Doha between 2nd October 2023 and 28th March 2024 under the slogan "Green Desert, Better Environment". The meeting took place on the side-lines of the visit of HE Mr Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland to Doha, and his participation in the LDC5 Conference.

09.03.2023Ambassador at the traditional camel racesDuring the traditional camel races organized in Doha on 8th March, Ambassador Janusz Janke met with Mr Abdulla Mohamed Al-Kuwari, President of the AUCR (the Arab Union For Camel Races). As a traditional Middle Eastern sport, camel racing in Doha regularly attracts breeders and experts in the sport from Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The President of the AUCR also expressed his interest in the development of cooperation between Qatar and Poland in the field of Arabian horse breeding, speaking highly of Poland’s expertise in the field.

22.02.2023Polish Naval Academy representatives visit DohaDuring the Police Academy officer promotion ceremony on 2nd February in Doha, the Polish Naval Academy was represented Cdr Dr Eng. Piotr Bekier, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Navigation and Naval Armament and Lt Łukasz Teległow, commander of the school battalion. The visit was carried out within the framework of the long - term educational cooperation of the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia with the Qatari partners.

Polish amber has been present in Qatar for a long time and it is considered one of the best in terms of quality. Mr. Janusz Janke, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland visited the Polish stand to congratulate the exhibitors on the success in Qatar as well as to offer support in the development of exports to the Qatari market.

07.02.2023Polish Entrepreneurs at the Katara International Arabian Horse FestivalDuring the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF 2023) held in Doha from 1st to 11th February 2023, HE Mr Janusz Janke, Polish Ambassador to Qatar, met with representatives of the Polish companies who visited the festival with their extensive offer of products and services for horse breeders (Horsemed). The gathering was organized in cooperation with the Qatar-Poland Business Council represented by Mr Paweł Kułaga. The parties touched upon a number of topics such as promotion of a Polish offer addressed to breeders and stud farms in Qatar, among others.
