Poland in Qatar

On May 26th the Embassy, in cooperation with the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA), Qatar-Poland Business Council, Polish Business Roundtable and with the participation of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Warsaw, organized a virtual event called "2nd Polish-Qatari virtual roundtable".

On 10-14 May 2021 the "2nd Arab Culture Week online" was organized by the Arabic Studies Student Research Group at the University of Warsaw. It was granted the Honorary Patronage of H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the State of Qatar, Mr. Janusz Janke, whose speech opened the third day of the event.

We would like to inform you that the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha will be closed on the dates of 12, 13 May.

When on 3 May 1791 the Four-Year Sejm also called the Great Sejm adopted The Government Act of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth later known as the Constitution of 3 May, the Polish-Lithuanian state became the Europe’s first and the world’s second that passed the basic law. For its time, it was a progressive and bold legal act which initiated a number of reforms. It also constituted a crowning achievement of the centuries-old links between Poland and Lithuania.

The Day of Polish Community and Poles Abroad was established in recognition of the historical contribution of diaspora communities to the national objectives of the country of their forefathers. Celebrated jointly with Polish Flag Day, it is intended to encourage Poles to reflect on the glorious pages of the country’s past.

We would like to inform that due to celebration of Constitution Day the Embassy will be closed on Monday, 3.05.2021.

The applications for the Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music can be submitted until 14 May. The second edition of the Competition will be held at the A. Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzeszów between 11 and 18 September 2021.

On April 22nd the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha, organized virtual education fairs for students from Arabic countries. The Embassy undertook a number of activities aimed at promoting the event.

On April 15th Ambassador Janusz Janke met with the acting head of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA), Mr. Janusz Janiszewski. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the current cooperation and prospects for its development between the agency and the relevant institutions in Qatar.

On March 31st H.E. Mr. Janusz Janke paid a visit to the headquarters of the Consultative Assembly of the State of Qatar (Majlis As-Shura). During the meeting with its Speaker , H.E. Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdulla Al Mahmoud, he provided information about the Internet Governance Forum , which will be organized in December 2021 in Katowice and discussed the possibility of deepening relations between the Shura Council and the Polish parliament.
