Poland in Qatar

On October 1st, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the State of Qatar, H.E. J. Janke, met the secretary of state at the Ministry of National Defense, Mr. M. Ociepa. The discussions focused on the further development of Polish-Qatari relations in the field of defense.

On 28 September Mr. Tomasz Sadzinski, charge d’affaires a.i. of the Embassy paid a visit to Qatar News Agency headquarters where he was met by the agency’s Director Mr. Yousuf Ibrahim Al Malki and Director of News Department, Mr. Jassim Ahmad Al Hamadi.

On September 22nd Ambassador Janusz Janke and Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Poland, Mr. Abdulla A. Rahman Fakhro took part in the meeting hosted by Rector-Commandant of the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia, Rear-Admiral Professor Tomasz Szubrycht (PhD, DSc).

On 31 August, we solemnly celebrate the 40th anniversary of the signing of the August Agreements and the establishment of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union “Solidarity”, which contributed to the collapse of communism and an end to the world’s cold war division.

On 15 August 1920 we solemnly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw – a culminating point of the Polish-Soviet War (1919-1920) and one of the most decisive events in the history of Poland, Europe, and the world.

The Consular Section of the Embassy has made a limited number of visa appointments available on our online platform: e-Konsulat. However, application for tourist visas will not be accepted at this stage - until further notice.

The call for proposals in the "Polish Returns 2020. COVID-19 Edition" program is addressed to institutions planning to employ scientists whose research may be relevant for broadening knowledge and solving significant problems related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, in particular representatives of broadly understood health and biomedical sciences.

The Embassy will remain closed during the Eid Al Adha holidays on 2 - 3 August.

Poland extends the ban on international flights.

Seventy five years after the end of the Second World War, we pay tribute to its victims. We remember the indomitable struggle of the Polish nation against Nazi Germany throughout the conflict in Europe, lasting from September 1939 to May 1945.
