Poland in Qatar

From 18 to 22 January 2026, delegations of the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Poland, the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, and the Polish Navy visited Doha in connection with their participation in the DIMDEX 2026 International Defence Exhibition & Conference. The visit aimed to intensify contacts with Qatari partners and to review the offerings of international and regional defence-sector companies, with particular focus on maritime security solutions. To this end, the delegation held meetings with representatives of the Qatari Armed Forces and Qatar’s defence industry. As part of the programme, representatives of the Polish Armed Forces also took part in the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference.

The visit, supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha, contributed to strengthening bilateral dialogue and identifying potential areas for military and defence-industrial cooperation between Poland and Qatar.

DIMDEX (Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference) is an international event dedicated to maritime security, modern defence systems and military technologies. During this year’s 9th edition, 70 agreements of various types were signed with a total value exceeding PLN 18 billion. The event brought together more than 130 delegations from 82 countries, as well as a record 32,000 visitors.
