The meeting aimed to review the current state of bilateral relations in the area of defence, as well as to identify opportunities for joint initiatives, including in training and the exchange of expertise.

At the outset, the Head of the Polish diplomatic mission congratulated the Qatari Armed Forces on the effectiveness of their air defence systems. The Ambassador also conveyed Poland’s solidarity with Qatar following the recent incidents, referring to the conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz with their Qatari counterparts. Referring to the participation of the Polish military delegation in the DIMDEX 2026 exhibition in Doha in January, the Ambassador expressed hope for continued engagement, including Qatar’s participation in the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Poland.

The Qatari interlocutor expressed appreciation for Poland’s continued support and solidarity in the face of Iranian attacks.
