On 3 November 2025, Ambassador Tomasz Sadziński represented Poland at the first meeting of leaders within the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, held in Doha.
The event gathered delegations from governments, international and non-governmental organizations at various levels, including prime ministers (Cuba, Egypt), deputy prime ministers (Somalia, Kyrgyzstan), ministers (Ethiopia, Finland, Brazil, Palestine, Rwanda), and deputy ministers (Qatar, Germany, Spain, Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom).
The meeting was also attended by Roxana Minzatu, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission and EU Commissioner for Social Rights, Skills, High-Quality Employment and Readiness, as well as Annalena Baerbock, President of the UN General Assembly.
In their statements, participants highlighted national achievements in combating poverty and hunger, emphasizing the need to enhance international cooperation in this area — particularly to prevent the negative effects of climate change and to avoid duplication of efforts within international organizations.
