Poland in Qatar

Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Sadziński visited the Food Safety Department of Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health.

The meeting with Dr Wasan Al-Baker, who oversees this area, provided an opportunity to present Poland’s potential as a food exporter and its capacity to contribute to strengthening food security across the region.

Ambassador Sadziński discussed prospects for developing Polish-Qatari cooperation in this field, including in the context of LuLu Group establishing a logistics presence in Poland. The Group operates the largest supermarket chain in the Gulf region. The discussion also covered the rules governing the recognition of halal certificates issued by foreign certification bodies.
