Polish Tourism Sector Mission to Qatar
27.11.2025
On 23–26 November 2025, the Embassy, in cooperation with the Polish Tourism Organisation (POT) and the Małopolska Tourism Organisation (MOT), coordinated a visit of representatives of Poland’s tourism sector to Qatar.
As part of the programme, the Embassy provided organisational support for:
• A promotional stand showcasing Poland’s tourism assets at Qatar Travel Mart 2025 (24–26 November).
Poland’s presence at the fair marked its second participation in Qatar Travel Mart. The jointly prepared stand, organised with MOT, presented key attractions with particular emphasis on the Małopolska region, Kraków, and the Wieliczka Salt Mine. This year’s edition of QTM, one of Qatar’s most important trade fairs, gathered approx. 300 exhibitors from over 60 countries, creating an excellent platform for new business contacts.
• The industry workshop “Poland Tourism Roadshow” (25 November).
The event brought together more than 40 representatives of Polish tourism entities, including POT, regional tourism organisations, hotels, travel operators, and DMC partners such as MOT, Podkarpacka ROT, Kraków Tourism Alliance, the Wieliczka Salt Mine, Energylandia, Arłamów Hotel, Platan Hotels & Resorts, Natura Mazur Hotel, DreamEvents DMC, and Kraków Airport, represented by Artur Travel.
From the Qatari side, 21 travel agencies as well as representatives of Qatari institutions took part. The Roadshow offered a unique opportunity for direct business dialogue and for presenting Poland’s growing potential as a destination for Qatari travellers.
• A reception featuring a Polish Michelin-starred chef (25 November).
The event, held on Pearl Island, gathered around 80 guests, including the Polish tourism mission and Qatari partners. Participants had the opportunity to continue discussions started during the workshops, while enjoying Polish dishes prepared by a Michelin-star-awarded chef, Mr Michał Kuter from the restaurant “A nóż widelec”. The presentation successfully highlighted Poland’s rich culture and culinary traditions, strengthening the image of Poland as an attractive and diverse tourism destination.
Additionally, on 26 November, at the invitation of Qatar Tourism and its subsidiary Visit Qatar, the delegation took part in a study programme showcasing Qatar’s tourism offer. Participants visited several of Doha’s leading attractions.
A special highlight of Poland’s presence at QTM was a performance by the Kosorex highlander ensemble from Bukowina Tatrzańska. Their energetic show attracted numerous visitors and gave the Polish stand a distinctive and memorable character.
The mission took place against the backdrop of steadily growing interest among Qatari travellers in visiting Poland, observed over recent years both among expatriates and Qatar’s local community.
