On 10 November 2025, a ceremonial reception on the occasion of the National Independence Day was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha, as part of the celebrations marking this important Polish national holiday in 2025.

The event was attended by around 160 guests — representatives of the Polish community in Qatar, soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces stationed in Qatar, as well as numerous representatives of business, sports, cultural, and academic circles.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests from Poland: Members of Parliament Wojciech Król, Chairman of the Polish-Qatari Parliamentary Group, and Tomasz Kostuś, a member of the same Group, who were visiting Qatar on a parliamentary mission.

The reception was opened by speeches from Ambassador Tomasz Sadziński and Chairman Wojciech Król, who emphasized the importance of Polish-Qatari cooperation, as well as the values of unity, freedom, and solidarity — the very foundations upon which Polish independence rests.

In the artistic part of the evening, references were made to the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. Guests had the opportunity to listen to the works of the eminent Polish composer performed by Polish artists residing in Qatar. The musical segment concluded with a performance by a trio presenting Polish and international pieces in light, swing-style arrangements, giving the evening a distinctive and elegant character.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in the event, for their kindness, and for their everyday support for the Embassy’s work — all of which contributed to a dignified and joyful celebration of one of the most important days in Poland’s history.
