Poland in Qatar

From 17 to 21 January 2026, Dr Łukasz Fyderek, Director of the Institute of Middle and Far Eastern Studies at the Jagiellonian University, paid a visit to Doha. The visit aimed to present the offer of the Jagiellonian University to local partners and to continue discussions on cooperation initiated in 2025.

The programme, arranged by the Embassy, included meetings with representatives of leading Qatari and international academic and analytical institutions, including Georgetown University in Qatar, the Middle East Council on Global Affairs, Qatar University, and Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

The interlocutors confirmed their interest in pursuing concrete initiatives with the Jagiellonian University, including joint research projects, academic exchange, and the organisation of scholarly events.
