Poland in Qatar

On January 7, the embassy was visited by representatives of the International Amber Association in Doha. During the meeting with Tomasz Sadziński, head of the mission, Ms Małgorzata Siudak, director of the association's office, shared information on the tasks carried out by the organization, as well as the scope of cooperation with Qatari institutions. She also invited the Embassy to the stand at the 5th edition of the Kahraman fair organized by the Katara Village Foundation, where a specialized laboratory will be available to collectors, where enthusiasts will be able to order an analysis of the products in their collection and obtain an appropriate certificate.

Tomasz Sadziński emphasized his interest in cooperation with the association to promote Polish expertise, experience and design using amber in Qatar, including through joint ventures such as exhibitions and workshops. He expressed gratitude for the organization's activity in Qatar and announced his readiness to support such activities in the future.

The fifth edition of the Kahraman amber fair was held in Doha on February 7-10. It was attended by three Polish exhibitors, as well as representatives of the International Amber Association and Amber Experts, who conducted a series of workshops on the properties and applications of amber. The event was organized by Katara Cultural Village Foundation. This year's edition was attended by over 77 exhibitors from 14 countries, including Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Turkey, China, Lithuania, Germany, Ukraine and Poland.
