Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska visited Karlskrona

The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden, Mrs. Karolina Ostrzyniewska, visited Karlskrona, where she opened the business conference Poland - Southern Sweden Matchmaking Event. The event was dedicated to the development of Polish-Swedish economic and technological cooperation as well as security in the Baltic Sea region.
In her opening remarks, Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska emphasised Poland’s unprecedented economic growth over the past decades and the increasing trade exchange with Sweden. She presented Poland’s strategic infrastructure and energy projects, such as the Central Communication Port and high-speed railways, the development of nuclear energy, and offshore wind farms. She also highlighted the achievements of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and outlined Poland’s plans as the upcoming Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States.
The conference gathered numerous representatives from the business and technology sectors from Poland and four regions of southern Sweden: Blekinge, Skåne, Halland, and Kronoberg. Key speakers included representatives of the Swedish-Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, as well as companies such as Saab Kockums, Stena Line, and Explore Markets.
As part of her two-day visit to Karlskrona, Ambassador Ostrzyniewska held meetings with the Governor of Blekinge, Mrs. Ulrica Messing, and the Mayor of Karlskrona, Mr. Peter Glimvall. She also visited the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), Blue Science Park, the Saab Kockums shipyard, and NKT, a leading manufacturer of power network cables.
