On 19 November 2025, Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska took part in a seminar organised by the Secretariat of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) in Stockholm, together with the Polish presidency of the CBSS, dedicated to strengthening security in the Baltic Sea region. The event was attended by representatives of CBSS member states (at the level of the Committee of Senior Officials, with Ms. Katarzyna Barcikowska from the Polish MFA as chair), observer states, EU institutions, diplomats, and experts specializing in maritime security and critical infrastructure protection.
Discussions focused on activities regarding the shadow fleet in the Baltic Sea, as well as other threats to underwater infrastructure, interference with satellite navigation systems, and disinformation in the region.
The seminar opened with an inaugural online address by Dmytro Kuleba, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, followed by discussion panels on maritime security and hybrid threats. Participants included representatives from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European External Action Service, and the Polish Space Agency (POLSA). The seminar concluded with a cocktail reception at the Embassy of Poland in Stockholm, providing an opportunity for further exchange of experiences and closer cooperation among institutions working to ensure regional security.
