Celebration of the National Independence Day at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm hosted a solemn celebration marking the 107th anniversary of the National Independence Day. The event brought together numerous representatives of the Polish diaspora as well as friends of Poland in Sweden.
The ceremony began with a joint singing of the Polish national anthem, Mazurek Dąbrowskiego, followed by remarks delivered by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Sweden, Ms Karolina Ostrzyniewska.
During the ceremony, individuals who have made significant contributions to strengthening the Polish community and preserving historical heritage were honoured. Decorations were awarded to Mr Jan Antoni Andrzejewski, Ms Krystyna Maria Andrzejewska, and Mr Zbigniew Kuczkowski for their outstanding efforts in promoting Polish culture and history, preserving and commemorating national memorial sites, and supporting the Polish diaspora.
The artistic highlight of the event was a performance by Mr Julian Gancarczyk, who played Chopin’s Polonaise in A-flat major and the musical theme from the television series Polskie drogi composed by Andrzej Kurylewicz.
The celebration concluded with a reception featuring traditional Polish dishes and conversations in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
