Concert celebrating Poland's Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States
07.11.2025
On 7 November 2025, a concert devoted to music inspired by the Baltic Sea was held at the Residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm, marking Poland's presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States.
The event brought together representatives of the Council’s Secretariat, the diplomatic corps of member and observer states, Swedish public administration, as well as figures from the cultural, academic, and media sectors. It served not only as a musical celebration but also as a platform for dialogue and the exchange of ideas among Baltic Sea region countries.
The stage was taken by the Polish Art Trio: Wioletta Fluda Tkaczyk (piano), Malwina Klupś-Radny (flute), and Malwina Kotz (violin). These artists are active collaborators with the Music Academies in Kraków and Wrocław, the National Forum of Music, and the Gorzów Philharmonic. Their concert work—often supported by Polish diplomatic missions—plays an important role in promoting Polish music internationally.
The program included works by composers associated with the Baltic Sea region, either through heritage or inspiration. Highlights featured Greetings from Gdynia by Adam Świerzyński and the world premiere of Sail Theme by Łukasz Woś, composed especially for the evening.
