Head of Foreign Service and Director General, Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, participated in the "Unleashed” conference in Stockholm, bringing together around 500 representatives from the business, political, academic, cultural and media communities across the Nordic-Baltic region. The conference was organised for the third time by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
Director General Mościcka-Dendys took part in the panel discussion “Make Europe Grow Again”, alongside Swedish Minister for EU Affairs Jessica Rosencrantz and Fazer Group CEO Christoph Vitzthum. The discussion focused on Europe’s economic growth prospects, the competitiveness of European industry and the challenges of strengthening economic security.
In her remarks, Director General Mościcka-Dendys stressed the importance of strengthening Europe’s competitiveness and economic resilience while creating the conditions for long-term economic growth. She highlighted Poland’s economic transformation as an example, noting that Poland’s GDP has increased by nearly 130% since the country joined the European Union in 2004.
She also emphasised the strategic potential of the Baltic Sea region as an important platform for cooperation among like-minded countries, particularly in strengthening Europe’s economic security, competitiveness and growth.
During her visit to Stockholm, Director General Mościcka-Dendys also gave an interview to Swedish public broadcaster SVT, addressing the current security situation in the region. She spoke in particular about hybrid threats and the growing challenge of Russian interference in electoral processes across Europe.
The conference provided a valuable forum for exchanging views on key security challenges and prospects for further economic and political cooperation in the Nordic-Baltic region, with Poland actively contributing to the discussions..
