Poland was represented by the Commander-in-Chief of the State Fire Service, Brigadier General Wojciech Kruczek, along with representatives of the State Fire Service Headquarters and the Government Centre for Security. The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden, Karolina Ostrzyniewska, also participated in the meeting.

The aim of the meeting was to initiate the implementation of a cooperation agreement, signed at Sweden’s initiative by the Nordic and Baltic countries as well as Poland and Germany, concerning civil protection. As highlighted by Sweden’s Minister for Civil Defence, Carl-Oskar Bohlin, the agreement strengthens regional cooperation and enhances countries’ preparedness to respond to threats.

The discussions were followed by expert workshops held on 4 March, focusing on the practical aspects of planning and coordinating civil protection activities.
