The Minister further stressed that the European Union should concentrate on the effectiveness of development aid and foster cooperation with the private sector, promoting trade and investments as essential instruments in the fight against poverty and in driving economic growth. He also underscored the necessity of simplifying legislation and reducing regulatory burdens on businesses to strengthen the EU's single market and ensure the continued advancement of free trade.

In the context of tariffs imposed by the United States, the Minister highlighted the complexity of contemporary supply chains, which raises concerns and uncertainties among Swedish entrepreneurs. The Minister commended the efforts of the Polish EU Presidency in the areas of the Foreign Affairs Council, particularly within the Trade format, as well as the Competitiveness Council.
