Minister Erik Slottner emphasised the need for appropriate regulation of AI to ensure it does not hinder competitiveness, which poses challenges at both the EU and national levels. He also highlighted the importance of ensuring safety and ethics when implementing new technologies in public administration, and discussed the status of work on implementing the recommendations of the Expert Commission on Artificial Intelligence, which presented its recommendations to the Swedish government in December 2024.

During the meeting, discussions also covered the progress in the development of 5G networks in Sweden, plans for 6G, and investments in digital infrastructure aimed at increasing resilience in times of potential crisis.
