Nordic-Baltic declaration on the development of nuclear energy in the region

A conference dedicated to the development of nuclear energy in the Baltic Sea region was held in Stockholm, with the political level represented by the ministers of energy from Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Poland. The event also gathered representatives from across the entire nuclear energy value chain - investors, banks, technology suppliers, operators, and owners of nuclear assets.
During the conference, the ministers adopted a joint declaration emphasising the importance of developing nuclear energy and the need for close regional cooperation, including the exchange of knowledge and resources, as well as the utilization of global supply chains (text attached).
The Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Energy, Mr. Konrad Wojnarowski, participated in a panel where he presented information on Polish investments in nuclear energy. He highlighted Poland’s cooperation with Sweden and Finland on both large-scale reactors and small modular reactors (SMRs), with the goal of implementing projects by 2036. The Deputy Minister also held bilateral talks with the Swedish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy and Enterprise, Ebba Busch, as well as with his counterparts from Finland, Estonia, and Latvia.
During the networking cocktail that opened the conference - attended by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch — the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Stockholm, Ms. Karolina Ostrzyniewska, was also present.
