Polish Embassy in Stockholm hosted event promoting the Pomeranian Region and Polish Airlines LOT

On 4 December, the Polish Embassy in Stockholm hosted a workshop and promotional event for Gdańsk, Sopot, the Pomeranian region, and Polish Airlines LOT, organised by the Polish Tourism Agency in Stockholm. The event aimed to showcase the rich tourist offerings of Gdańsk and Sopot to a large audience of Swedish travel agencies, tour operators, and media representatives.
The Polish side was represented by officials from the regional promotion offices of Gdańsk, Sopot, and the Pomeranian region, leading hotel and restaurant chains in the Tri-City area, as well as transport providers connecting Poland and Sweden, including Polish Airlines LOT and Polferries.
Guests were welcomed by Her Excellency Karolina Ostrzyniewska, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland, who highlighted the special opportunities for developing mutual relations in tourism and people-to-people contacts, stemming from the renewed Strategic Partnership between Poland and Sweden.
The Ambassador emphasised Poland’s scenic landscapes and attractions, particularly in the Pomeranian region, as well as the country’s strong economic position, dynamism, creativity, and hospitality. Short films presenting the Tri-City area and the region, along with engaging informal discussions among participants, contributed to the event’s interactive and promotional character.
Swedish guests also had the opportunity to sample Polish cuisine, with culinary delights prepared by chefs from the “Piwnica Rajców” restaurant in Gdańsk and “L’Entre Villes” in Sopot.
