Polish-Swedish Cybersecurity Conference in Stockholm
14.05.2025
On 13 May 2025, the Polish-Swedish Cybersecurity Conference took place in Stockholm, organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency Foreign Trade Office (PAIH), in cooperation with the Swedish-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Epicenter Stockholm.
The event brought together experts, representatives of government administrations, the military, business, and academia to discuss key cybersecurity challenges—particularly regarding the protection of critical infrastructure, dual-use technologies, and building resilience to threats and cyberattacks targeting society, including attempts to undermine democratic governance and election processes.
Opening remarks were delivered by Paweł Bliźniuk, Chair of the Polish-Swedish Parliamentary Group and Member of the Polish Parliament, Karolina Ostrzyniewska, Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Sweden, and Mattias Hanson of the Swedish Armed Forces.
Speakers included Jörgen Holmlund from the Swedish Defence University, Magdalena Wilczyńska from NASK, and Rafał Kolorz from the Cyber Made in Poland Cluster. The forum provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and showcase modern solutions that can drive bilateral cooperation between Poland and Sweden in areas such as cybersecurity risk management in energy, transport, and digital communication.
Participants also showed great interest in the mobile demonstration zone, which featured innovative products developed by startups in the cyber technology sector.
Thank you to all participants and partners for their joint contribution to the development of Polish-Swedish cooperation.
