On 17 November 2025, the Swedish-Polish Business Summit took place in Stockholm, bringing together representatives from business, government administration, and the financial sector from both Poland and Sweden. The event, organized by Business Sweden in cooperation with the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Polish Ministry of Development and Technology, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm, aimed to deepen economic cooperation between the two countries based on the strategic partnership agreement signed by the Prime Ministers in Harpsund in 2024.

The summit opened with brief video addresses from the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, and the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, emphasizing the importance of economic dialogue and the Prime Ministers’ support for joint initiatives. The inaugural session featured speeches by Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa, Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański, Sweden’s State Secretary for the Ministry of Energy, Enterprise and Industry Maja Lundbäck, and Poland’s State Secretary and Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure Wojciech Wrochna. Speakers outlined key cooperation priorities in the fields of innovation, energy, economic security, and resilience.

The event gathered over 150 carefully selected participants, including CEOs of leading companies from both countries, representatives of business organizations, members of parliament, and government officials. The summit focused on innovation, clean energy, digitalization, and cooperation in the defense industry. In a session dedicated to the role of Swedish and Polish business in supporting Ukraine, participants included the Chairman of the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine and the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Polish Sejm, Prof. Paweł Kowal, and Sweden’s Special Government Envoy for Ukraine, Ulrik Tideström. Speakers presented initiatives for Ukraine’s reconstruction, while Swedish (Scania) and Polish (PESA) companies shared their operational experiences in the country. During the summit, export credit agencies – EKN from Sweden and KUKE from Poland – signed a letter of intent on cooperation in Ukraine.

The afternoon program included parallel thematic sessions on energy decarbonization, sustainable infrastructure, digitalization, and collaboration in the defense industry.

On the sidelines of the summit, Minister Andrzej Domański met with Ministers Benjamin Dousa, responsible for international development cooperation and foreign trade, and Elisabeth Svantesson, Minister of Finance. During a networking cocktail hosted by the Embassy of Poland in Stockholm, the summit’s conclusions were presented by Andrzej Dycha, CEO of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Annika Stål, Vice President of Business Sweden, and Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska.

On 18 November, entrepreneurs from both countries participated in study visits to the headquarters of Saab (Linköping), Ericsson (Kista), and Siemens Energy (Finspång), as well as a thematic visit focused on sustainable infrastructure and smart city projects in the Stockholm region, co-organized by the Embassy of Poland in Stockholm.

The next edition of the summit will be held in Poland in 2026, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
