Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson the special guest at the HoMS meeting during PL PRESIDENCY

At the last meeting in a series of Heads of Mission gatherings in Stockholm, held at the residence of the Polish Ambassador, we hosted Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, who presented Sweden's plans to increase defence spending and support for Ukraine before the NATO summit and European Council meeting.
The Swedish Prime Minister highlighted the strategic importance of cooperation with Poland for the security of the Baltic Sea region.
Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska emphasised the role of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council in building Europe’s security, supporting Ukraine, securing the EU’s eastern border, and developing the competitiveness of the European economy.
The discussion also covered the situation in the Middle East, transatlantic relations, and the EU’s policy towards China.
