Working seminar at the Riksdag

On 19 March 2026, a working seminar on Polish-Swedish trade relations was held at the Riksdag, with participants including Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska.
Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska highlighted the growing trade between Poland and Sweden, as well as the deepening bilateral relations, evidenced by the signing of the Strategic Partnership between Poland and Sweden in Harpsund in November 2024, the first Swedish-Polish Business Summit on 17 November 2025, and the first official visit in 15 years of the Swedish Royal Couple to Poland on 10–12 March 2026.
The event also featured speakers from the Swedish-Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Port of Ystad, which emphasised the importance of the rail-ferry connection between Ystad and the Port of Świnoujście. Several members of the Riksdag from various political parties attended the seminar, showing interest in Polish-Swedish relations and the development of Sweden’s infrastructure links with Poland. During the discussion, they asked numerous questions regarding the prospects for further development of Polish-Swedish economic cooperation.
