Poland in the UAE

The prestigious Mohamed bin Rashid Library in Dubai hosted the first edition of National Reading in the UAE. The theme was the poetry of Jan Kochanowski. The reading was organized in cooperation with the Fraza Polish Language Learning Center in Dubai, where around 100 children attend Polish language and culture classes every Saturday. The teachers prepared a very rich and creative program for the event, including acting elements and learning about the poet's life. About 40 children and their families, teachers, and representatives of the institution took part in the reading. It was unanimously emphasized that this was an important event integrating the Polish community in Dubai around our language and culture, and hopes were expressed for the organization of further editions.
