Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Houston

Monika Sobczak was born on April 2, 1989 in Radom. She graduated High School no. 3 in Radom and the Faculty of Law and Administration at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw.

She worked in several law offices and as an assistant judge.

Since 2018, she has been associated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. She worked in the Consular Department and then in the Office of the Director General.

In 2020, she was appointed Deputy Director of the Office of Human Resources. Then she took up the position of the Deputy Director in the Office of the Head of Foreign Service.

In 2014-2015 she was the chairwoman of the Independent Students' Association at the University of Warsaw. Then she became the Director at the National Board of the Independent Students' Association where she has been a honorary member since 2016.

City councilwoman in Warsaw from 2018 to 2020.

Monika Sobczak became a Head of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Houston on January 3rd, 2023.
