On 25 June, the second edition of the conference "The Future of Post-Mining Areas” was held in Sosnowiec at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Silesia.

On 22 May in Police, Piotr Litwa, President of the State Mining Authority, participated in a press briefing following the signing of the contract for the construction of the third section of the Szczecin Western Bypass (S6) between Police and Goleniów. This section will include a tunnel beneath the Oder River and is set to become the longest road tunnel in Poland.

On 19-20 May 2026, the 26th Conference "Health and Safety Issues in the Polish Mining Industry” was held in Wisła under the honorary patronage of the Minister for Energy. The event was organised by the Executive Board of the Association of Mining Engineers and Technicians in cooperation with the State Mining Authority and the Central Mining Institute - National Research Institute.

The State Mining Authority has published its latest report, "Assessment of Occupational Safety, Mine Rescue and Public Safety in Relation to Mining and Geological Activities in 2025”. The document is available in the "Health and Safety in Mining” section of the Authority's website.
