Continuation of the visit paid by Deputy Minister Małgorzata Gromadzka to Singapore - talks with market leaders and promotion of Polish export
22.04.2026
The objective of the visit paid by the MARD delegation chaired by the Secretary of State Małgorzata Gromadzka is to further develop Polish-Singaporean trade cooperation in the agri-food sector and to increase the export of Polish products to the South-East Asia countries.
Cooperation with retail leaders
On the next day of the economic mission in Singapore, Deputy Minister Małgorzata Gromadzka met with the representatives of companies, associations and chambers of commerce from Singapore, representing various sectors of the food industry – including importers of fresh fruit and vegetables, representatives of retail trade (including supermarket chains), dairy sector, suppliers for bakeries and confectioneries as well as companies involved in distributing processed products such as sauces.
The Singaporean party expressed its interest in expanding cooperation to include the import of fresh fruit and vegetables, while pointing to logistic challenges related to long distances and transport.
It was stressed that it was crucial to start in-depth talks, which would allow to better understand mutual expectations and create solid foundations for long-term cooperation. The Polish party invited partners from Singapore to Poland, so that they could become familiar there with the extensive and diversified offer of our agri-food sector.
Of great importance is also to intensify promotional activities and build the recognition of Polish products – in particular, meat, fruit, vegetables and processed products – on the demanding Singaporean market.
Meeting with a food industry potentate
An important point of the visit was also a meeting with Dr Sam Goi – a food industry potentate who manages such giants as Tee Yih Jia Food Manufacturing Pte Ltd and JB Foods Limited. Deputy Minister Gromadzka pointed to the enormous potential of Poland as the 20th world economy and the 6th economy in the EU and encouraged to invest in the Polish agri-food sector. They also talked about the use of such investments in terms of the export to other European markets and the use of Singaporean distribution networks to promote Polish products in the South-East Asia region.
Support for exhibitors at the FHA fair
At the Food&Hospitality Asia (FHA) 2026 fair, the Secretary of State Małgorzata Gromadzka met with the Polish entrepreneurs who presented their products at our national stand. This year, under the brand name Poland Tastes Good, 14 Polish companies present their offer, including leaders of the dairy and confectionery sectors. The Deputy Minister also visited the stand of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (PCC), where 6 companies promoted Polish apples and meat products as part of the “Taste of Europe” campaign.
Embassy Press Night press event
During the Embassy Press Night – a prestigious press event organised by the Singapore Press Club with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and the PCC, Deputy Minister Małgorzata Gromadzka highlighted the record-breaking results of Polish agri-food export, which in 2025 amounted to EUR 58.4 billion.
– We strive to ensure that in Asia our products are associated not only with their excellent taste but also with safety, modern technology and high environmental standards – stressed the Deputy Minister. She also indicated Singapore as a key logistics and distribution hub that could help diversify food supply chains all over the region.
The visit paid by Minister Gromadzka to Indonesia and Singapore is a continuation of the intense activities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Management aimed at increasing the presence of Polish agri-food products on Asian markets. The delegation of Minister Stefan Krajewski to Singapore in 2024, as well as the meeting of the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak with representatives of the Indonesian government during the Grüne Woche Berlin Food Fair in January 2026, provided an excellent basis for the talks conducted by Minister Gromadzka during that visit, allowing to record further significant progress in the process of gaining access to the markets of South-East Asian countries for an increasing number of Polish products. Good cooperation and consistent joint action bring excellent results!
