Secretary of State Małgorzata Gromadzka met at the MARD with a delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, chaired by Deputy Oleh Dunda. There are ongoing talks on the lifting of barriers to Polish food in Kazakhstan. On 9 and 10 April 2026, Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak attended the 10th meeting of the Polish-Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation in Astana. For the Ministry of Agriculture, the issues of lifting restrictions on goods of animal origin and unlocking transit through the territory of Kazakhstan are of key importance.

The assessment of the first year of implementing the "Vision for Agriculture and Food” and agricultural trade issues are the major topics of the AGRIFISH Council meeting in Brussels. Poland points to the need to maintain the financing of the Common Agricultural Policy that is adequate to the needs and to ensure a level playing field.

The Secretary of State Małgorzata Gromadzka attended the International Food Exhibition (IFE) fair in London so as to support Polish companies presenting their products on the British market. The IFE fair is the largest trade fair event in the United Kingdom that is a unique opportunity to promote innovation and high quality in the agri-food industry. The offer of Polish companies was present at the Polish national stand organised by the National Support Centre for Agriculture, at the stands organised by the Marshal Offices of the Łódzkie and Podkarpackie Voivodeships and at the stands of companies.

The status of the partner country for the jubilee edition of the ALIMENTARIA 2026 fair in Barcelona strengthens the promotion of Polish food and increases the visibility of domestic producers at one of the most important industry events in Europe. Deputy Minister Adam Nowak attended in the event.

Talks about access to the Japanese market for Polish food, meetings with entrepreneurs and a visit to one of the most important agricultural research centres in Asia - these are the most important elements of the Deputy Minister Adam Nowak's visit to Japan. The delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also attended the Foodex Japan fair in Tokyo, supporting Polish food producers present there and promoting the export offer of the Polish agri-food sector.

Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak began a 4-day visit to Japan. The major events of the first day of his stay in Tokyo included: the official opening of the Foodex Japan 2026 fair and the inauguration of the Polish national stand. The objective of the visit is not only to support Polish entrepreneurs, but also to conduct strategic talks with the Japanese authorities on the wider opening of the local market to Polish food.
