The "Green Week” International Agricultural and Food Fair in Berlin is not only the promotion of Polish food, but also a place where talks quickly translate into decisions important for the export and international cooperation. During this year's edition, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski and Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak held a series of bilateral meetings with partners from Europe, Asia and Africa.

On the initiative of the Minister of Agriculture Stefan Krajewski, a regulation on temporary suspension of import and the placing of products containing harmful substances (active plant protection products) on the Polish market, which are unacceptable for use in the EU, is being prepared.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski and Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak opened the Polish national stand at the Green Week International Agricultural and Food Fair in Berlin. The 100th jubilee edition of the fair is one of the key opportunities for Poland to promote national food and export offer on international markets, and for visitors - a chance to meet directly with Polish producers and their products.

The Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak met with Her Excellency Ilham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the Republic of Poland. The Deputy Minister congratulated the Ambassador on taking up the diplomatic mission, while expressing his hope for intensifying Polish-Sudanese relations, particularly in the area of agriculture.

Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak received His Excellency Saoud bin Abdullah Zaid Al-Mahmoud, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Poland, at the seat of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of agriculture, with particular consideration given to the possibility of increasing the export of Polish agri-food products to the Qatari market.

Poland has achieved one of the most important negotiating successes of this year. During the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) meeting, which was held on 11-12 December in Brussels, the delegation headed by the Minister of Agriculture Stefan Krajewski and Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak secured a political agreement on fishing quotas for the years 2026-2028, taking into account the key Polish demands regarding the Baltic Sea.

Poland's strong position on simplification of the Common Agricultural Policy was presented during today's AGRIFISH Council meeting in Brussels by the Minister of Agriculture Stefan Krajewski.

Reaching political agreement on two Commission's proposals concerning next year's fishing opportunities in the Atlantic Ocean, North Sea, Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea, as well as a debate on potential innovation and simplification of the Common Agricultural Policy post-2027 were on the agenda of the two-day AGRIFISH Council meeting that was started today in Brussels. The Polish delegation is represented by the Minister of Agriculture Stefan Krajewski and the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak.
