Expanding access of the Polish agri-food products to the Philippine market was the main focus of the meetings between the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski and the representatives of the Philippine government. The discussions encompassed among others opening the market for Polish apples and launching the procedures aimed at market opening to milling and feed wheat, onion and American blueberry as well as changing the regionalisation principles for avian influenza.

Eleven Polish companies present their offer at the World Food Expo (WOFEX) Fair in Manila - the largest food industry event in Philippines. Poland presents its offer for the first time. The Polish national stand was opened by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski. The Ministry Head invited the visitors to taste Polish products and the local entrepreneurs - to cooperate and buy Polish food.

Supporting the generational renewal in fisheries and aquaculture was the leitmotiv of the informal meeting of the EU Ministers for Fisheries in Ireland. The participants discussed also on establishing the conditions - among others aligning the EU legal framework - that would support setting-up of the young generation in these sectors. The Polish Ministry of Agriculture was represented by the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak.

Poland wants to strengthen its position on one of the fastest growing markets in South-East Asia. During his visit to the Philippines, Minister Stefan Krajewski attends the meetings with representatives of the administration and the agri-food industry as well as events promoting Polish food. The visit includes, among others, a seminar organised by the Union of Producers and Employers of Meat Industry (UPEMI), participation in the World Food Expo (WOFEX) fair and talks on increasing the export of Polish poultry as well as opening the Philippine market for Polish apples and egg products.

Secretary of State Małgorzata Gromadzka met with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Poland Ahmed Samy Mohamed Mahmoud El Ansary. The talks concerned the development of agri-food cooperation and increasing the export of Polish food to Egypt. One of the major subjects was the resumption of the Polish wheat export and the expansion of access of Polish beef and poultry to the Egyptian market.

Export authorisations for 11 Polish beef plants have been extended (pending an audit to be conducted by the competent Thai services) and four new plants have been approved for export. Recognition of regionalisation in relation to HPAI and ASF remains the subject of further analysis.

Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak met with the Deputy Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Poland, Erzhan Zharylkanov, to discuss the prospects of further bilateral cooperation, among others, Kazakh restrictions regarding selected agri-food products from Poland. Particular attention was paid to the ban on the import of apples, which Kazakhstan is planning to introduce from 1 August to 31 December 2026.

Minister Stefan Krajewski met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Poland, Victoria Ortega, to discuss the possibilities of developing cooperation between Poland and Spain, trade issues and the most important current topics on the EU agenda.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has organised a national stand during the Malaysian International Food & Beverage (MIFB) fair, which is held on 15-17 July 2026 in Kuala Lumpur. The Polish delegation is chaired by Director General at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Marek Cieśliński and Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Katarzyna Wawrzak.

The study visit of Filipino journalists was an opportunity to talk about what was tasty and Polish. Media representatives arrived at the invitation of the Department of Promotion and Cultural Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The programme of the visit included, among others, a meeting at the headquarters of the General Veterinary Inspectorate with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski and the Chief Veterinary Officer Paweł Meyer, who gave an interview on Polish food.
