26.01.2026
The Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak paid an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The main objective of the delegation is to strengthen bilateral cooperation, participate in the prestigious Gulfood 2026 agri-food fair in Dubai and support Polish entrepreneurs in their expansion into the Middle East markets.
Opening of the Polish national stand
An important point of the visit was the official opening of the Polish national stand, organised by the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR). For the tenth time, KOWR organised a Polish pavilion under the slogan Poland Tastes Good.
The Gulfood Fair is one of the largest and most important events of the food industry in the world and is an excellent opportunity for Polish agri-food producers to establish new business contacts with potential business partners from the Middle East, Africa and Asia. In this year’s edition of the Gulfood fair, as many as 44 Polish companies present their offer. They promoted, among others, cereal, dairy, meat, bakery, fruit and vegetable products.
Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak met with the exhibitors and stressed that Polish food was gradually building its strong position on third markets, thanks to its quality, safety and unique taste qualities.
– Over the years, Polish food has become a strong brand on the international arena. I am very glad that Polish producers declare their increasing interest in the Emirati market, which is confirmed by the growing number of Polish exhibitors – said the Secretary of State, encouraging foreign visitors to taste Polish specialties during live cooking shows.
Planned bilateral talks
The stay at the fair in Dubai also means intense talks with the representatives of the Emirati agricultural administration. During the visit, bilateral talks are planned between Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak and representatives of the Emirati agricultural administration: the management of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the Dubai Municipality and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority. The topics of the meetings will include, among others, activities aimed at deepening cooperation in the field of agriculture with the United Arab Emirates and improving the conditions of export of Polish agri-food products to the Emirati market.
