In January, we informed that the Philippines had opened to Polish pork and pork offal. This gives new opportunities in the export of meat export and this was one of the topics discussed with Filipino journalists by Minister of Agriculture Stefan Krajewski.

– Polish food is appreciated all over the world and supporting our entrepreneurs on foreign markets is one of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s priorities. The record-breaking export of food shows that Polish products compete effectively in terms of their quality, taste and innovation. I would like to invite all Filipinos to visit the Polish stand at the upcoming WOFEX EXPO 2026 fair in Manila – said Minister Stefan Krajewski during an interview given to the Filipino journalist J. P. Soriano.

Polish food on the Filipino market

In 2025, the Polish agri-food export to the Philippines amounted to about USD 106.0 million, when compared to about USD 81.1 million in 2024, which means an increase by about 30.6% year-on-year. The major export goods include dairy products (milk, cream, buttermilk, whey, cheese), poultry meat and edible poultry offal. At the same time, the Philippines imported agri-food products worth about USD 21.7 billion, which means an increase by about 4.0% year-on-year (according to Intracen Trademap data).

The procedure for opening the market for Polish apples

The Filipino journalists asked directly about plans to export other products, including apples. Minister Stefan Krajewski confirmed that Poland was famous for its production of apples and had plans to export them to the Philippines and that appropriate preparations and bilateral arrangements were being carried out for that purpose.

The programme of the journalists’ study visit includes, among others, a visit to Polish orchards and an apple producer (Sangrow company in Zajeziorze), whose objective is to show the Philippine media the standards of production and quality control of fruit in Poland.

WOFEX EXPO 2026 fair

In connection with the opening of the Philippine market to the import of further groups of products from Poland - in particular, meat, the stand “Poland tastes good” – a joint project of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the National Support Centre for Agriculture – will be organised for the first time at the WOFEX – World Food Expo 2026 fair in Manila, on 29 July–1 August 2026. 11 Polish companies will be present at the stand to present a diversified offer of Polish products, i.e. in particular, dairy products, meat and its products, sweets and snacks.

KOWR will start its presence during the trade fair with B2B meetings with a wider group of Polish companies, including, in addition to entrepreneurs present at the fair, also representatives of pork and poultry producers from Poland.

– Our products stand out not only in terms of taste, but also in terms of their high quality. This is also confirmed by representatives of the meat industry from the Philippines. Moreover, we are very competitive in terms of prices – says Chief Veterinary Officer Paweł Meyer.
