Performs the tasks of the Minister related to participation in the Common Fisheries Policy, development of marine fisheries, inland fisheries, aquaculture and the fish market. The Department is also responsible for coordinating and implementing tasks arising from the Minister’s function as the Managing Authority for the Operational Programme “Fisheries 2007–2013”, “Fisheries and Sea 2014–2020” and the “European Funds for Fisheries” Programme.
